Who We Are

ALIA JAFFREY

Founder & Managing Partner

As a junior in High School, Alia built Alia Jaffrey LLC to empower others and expand her business online. At age 9, she began designing and sewing handmade bags, scarves and other accessories. Proceeds she earned from selling her products at trunk shows were donated to charities, such as Feeding America and the International Rescue Committee. It was the start of her lifelong passion to help others while doing what she loved. By age 16, she could no longer personally create every product for her growing business and wanted to manufacture her designs while economically empowering women in the process. Thus began her collaboration with the Behbud organization in Pakistan. Moved by the stories of the underprivileged women artisans she worked with at Behbud, Alia began outsourcing many of her designs to them for production. The result has been transformative for all involved.

Additionally, Puerto Rico is like a second home to Alia. After witnessing the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria in 2017, Alia is determined to help those still living under blue tarps instead of roofs, two years later. The Puerto Rico collection seeks to raise funds for this cause through a collaboration with the 100Roofs Project, and hopefully change lives one roof at a time.
